Working together to create a secure & thriving environment

Ruthin Business Watch is managed by a volunteer group made up of business representatives and the police. Both Ruthin Town and Denbighshire County Councils are represented on the management group. The group being an excellent example of partnership-working to reduce crime, fear of crime and anti-social behaviour within the business parks serving Ruthin.

With the dedication of the members we endeavour to harness the goodwill of business in the area with a view to:

• Help keep crime at bay striving to bring about tangible improvements to the area in order to enhance Ruthin's reputation as a safe place to live and work
• Create a safe, secure and environmentally friendly Industrial Estate
• Easily recognisable and accessible to customers and suppliers in order that members’ businesses can thrive in a competitive market.

We have been successful in attracting grant assistance from public funding sources which include Denbighshire County Council including Crime & Disorder, Ruthin Town Council, PACT, Arena Network and Tesco.

Our Action Plan has been put together by the Ruthin Business Watch Committee together with assistance from Officers at Denbighshire County Council. It has been developed from ideas and issues which have come out of our regular meetings and a questionnaire to members conducted in February 2008. You can also view our Association's Constitution.
